No, our practice is not a substitute for health insurance, and we encourage all families to have full insurance coverage.
Are telephone calls to the doctor free?
Yes, telemedicine visits are included without charge for patients who join with a membership package. Your pediatrician is available 24/7/365 for your child’s medical needs. All patients have their pediatrician’s cell phone in the event of emergency or question. Many issues can easily be handled over the phone, saving you a trip to the office or emergency room.
Can my child have a “virtual” medical visit?
Yes. Established patients, when appropriate, can use technology to send pictures, etc. Often a diagnosis can be made without a medical visit. This practice saves families valuable time and resources.
Is health insurance accepted?
Our pediatrician is out-of-network for all physician-related fees. We can assist you in submitting receipts from office visits to insurance companies for reimbursement, similar to a dentist’s office. We utitlize your insurance for all lab services and imaging.
What if my child gets sick away from home?
Your child’s physician and medical records, including medications, allergies and lab results are available day and night. Coordination of care and prescriptions can be handled from afar, and all patients traveling who experience illness are expected to call their pediatrician for assistance.
